On August 5, 2013, the North Delta Produce Growers Association attended the Small Ruminant Field Day in Crystal Springs, MS. Speakers and presenters included: representatives from Alcorn State University, Charles Pickett (Chief Executive Officer of Royals), Dr. Sandra Varms (Veterinarian), Dr. Greg Reed (Associate Extension Administrator for Alcorn State University), and Congressman Bennie Thompson.

The event was held at Royal International. Royals International has over 5000 head of sheep and goat, making it the largest producer of its kind in the nation. Royals International also has its own processing facility.
